Composite Materials is a design label that believes that objects should not only possess functional capacity, but rhythm, beauty, and opportunities for contemplation. We aim to explore design’s relationship to subculture, seeking out ways our homes can better reflect our values and interests without becoming cliché.

Co-founded by Christian Dutilh and Ghikhan Blossfeld-Lau in 2023, the label is based between the founders’ homes of New York City and Los Angeles.

With a focus on Brutalist design and theory, Composite Materials creates lasting pieces for the next generation of avant-garde thinkers who want to be surrounded by soulful and sophisticated objects.
